Vicky Roy

Vicky Roy started learning photography so that he could travel and also because he learnt that it was a medium through which he could convey a message. He wanted to narrate his own story of growing up on the streets and as a result spent a lot of time taking photographs of other street children and showed them happy and smiling and as survivors. Creating awareness is Vicky’s main aim and through his photography he has talked about the invisibility of street children to issues of high altitude construction and degradation of the environment but at all times is socially conscious and wanting to help better the lives of the less fortunate.
