Kaustubh Ray’s perception of photography is poised somewhere between photojournalism and art although they are not mutually exclusive sets. He aims to show his viewer these two facets of his image so they derive their own deductions. He tries to depict people, his surrounds and the amazing simplicity of their complex lifestyles. What he enjoys most about his photography is the demand for concentrated effort through fleeting moments when he has to make his decision to shoot. Apart from photography, Ray creates animated short films and comic strips.
