K. S. Radhakrishnan

Radhakrishnan is one of the most notable sculptors who has successfully brought about a definitive resurgence in Indian sculpture. He is primarily a figurative sculptor and his works range from the small and intimate to being large and lofty in dimension. The two major themes in his works are the male and female figures, Maiya and Musui, who represent the anima-animus, the primary anthropomorphic archetypes. Most of his bronze sculptures are his meditations on migration, history, nostalgia and memory and exude a sensuous quality by deploying extraordinary body movements.
