Vinita Karim

Having lived in various corners of the globe, Vinia Karim’s paintings reflect her varied experiences in different cultural settings, with a unique blend of east and west, north and south, the traditional and modern. She uses various medium like oil and acrylic, gold leaf, print patterns from Kalamkari wooden blocks as well as intricate embroideries, depicting a smooth interconnection between her Indian heritage and her global upbringing and life. Her canvases use abstraction as the vantage point for her exploration and these complex and vibrant works depict a world that can only celebrate her diversity.
