Sajal Sarkar

Sajal Sarkar’s earlier works focused on the male nude which was a means for him to express strength and tension. However he has now moved away from realism and invented a fresh visual language which is more abstract and through which he speaks of human suffering and the maladies of the planet. It has given rise to a whole new genre of works and allows him to forge an inward looking existential vision which is also a more spiritually inclined.
