Nawal Kishore prefers to paint the enigmatic female form which radiates beauty, sensuality and power. One can see geometric abstraction and cubism inspired forms in his works. Most of his women have natural curves that flow smoothly, without any interruption or breaks. His colour palette often reflects ‘surya’ or the hues of the sun – he has a preference for vibrant primary colours which exude positivity. Adept at drawing figures and transforming them into an expressive visual form he creates multiple images which radiate emotions of happiness, contemplation, love and togetherness.
