Shubhra Das’s works are an expression of her momentary feelings in relation to geometric and natural styles – an overlapping of human emotions and visual forms. She articulates her love for nature in almost all her paintings as the source as well as the giver – a protective cradle where life is nurtured and revered. She intertwines elements from nature such as birds, butterflies, roots of trees around human figures. Shubhra’s paintings are not complex – they have a narrative quality, have movement and depth and are lyrical in nature.
