Sanjib Singha considers art as a medium of meditation and communication that does not require words. Colours play a primary role and his preferred medium is acrylic on which he uses roller brushes and palette knives to create smooth broad layers of colour, thin lines and scratched and carved out areas. His abstract works are often likened to music pieces where the layers of colour correspond to the mood and tone of a composition and the lines to melodic phrases. Singha’s music heals since it begets harmonies as does all positive art.
