Ashoke Mullick

Ashoke Mullick’s paintings portray contemporary times where people have lost human contact and become almost robotic. Communication is dependent upon technical devices as opposed to interpersonal relationships and tradition has given way to a more material world. The artist uses satire in his paintings to depict the ordinary man or woman and the contradictions that they face. His works are usually bright and vibrant and convey a message about urban and social issues.
