Sohan Jakhar uses his artistic skill to address his personal relationship with cities of Rajasthan and his ancestry. The decorative motifs in the background are inspired by the painted frescos on the havelis of Sekhawat where he grew up. The incorporated images are photographs of vendors, hawkers, bazaar and street scenes which are later digitally modified and painted on the canvas. His paintings are simple and resonate of various complex emotions that accompany the artist’s journey of experiences.
