Prasanta Sahu

Prasanta Sahu’s paintings are like social commentary where he tries to depict conflicts in urban society. His works draw attention to its underlying brutality and cloaked hypocrisies. He combines pictures and text often borrowing motifs from mass media. Monochromatic images are contrasted with vividly painted areas and form interesting textural motifs. The paintings are like performative gestures connecting the realms of art and society.
