Justin Ponmany is a contemporary artist whose works range from large scale individual portraits to drawings on graph paper to diptych paintings. He is well known for using holographic pigments that give his works a very modern feel. The artist draws his influence from the city of Mumbai whose landscape is constantly under construction and in a state of continuous flux. The domain he deals with ranges from the material plastic to a state of mind that is unfortunately plastic and what he terms as ‘plastic memory.’
